The Virgin Mary appeared to St. Catherine Laboure on November 27,1830. She asked her to create a medal that would provide abundant graces to those who wore it
The medal has written on it: “O Mary, conceived without sin, pray for us who have recourse to thee.” On the back, the medal has an ‘M’ with a cross and the hearts of Jesus & Mary with 12 stars around them.
